River Herstory-
History of the magical woman
This sculpture built on a coffee table explores magical women in history and stories. The river in River Herstory flows past references to chapters of feminine history, such as the witch dunkings in the middle ages and portrayals of magical women in fiction such as The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. The river flows from the source in the mouth of the Goddess, and off the opposite end as a waterfall, symbolising that the flow will continue into the future.
